About the Role:
client is seeking a detail-oriented and solution-driven Pre-Sales Business Analyst with
2–3+ years of experience in technology consulting, solutioning, and pre-sales. As a core
member of the business development and deal-enablement team, your primary goal is to
support successful deal closure by owning discovery, solution definition, proposal
development, and SOW/MSA creation end-to-end.
This role is designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of business, technology, and
client engagement bringing clarity to ambiguity, structuring complex requirements, and
ensuring solutions are commercially viable and delivery-ready.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Sales, Discovery & Client Engagement:
- Lead collaborative discovery sessions and solution workshops with prospective and existing clients.
- Partner closely with Sales and Account teams to define solution scope, assumptions, risks, and value propositions.
- Analyze RFPs/RFIs/RFQs to identify requirements, dependencies, risks, and gaps, supporting high-quality responses.
- Proactively surface risks, ambiguities, and alternative approaches during internal and client discussions.
- Present solutions and proposals to client stakeholders with clarity and confidence, adapting communication for business and technical audiences.
Business & Solution Analysis:
- Translate business goals into functional, non-functional, and high-level technical requirements.
- Create and maintain pre-sales artifacts such as BRDs, FRDs, workflows, process maps, and solution approach diagrams.
- Collaborate with Architecture, Engineering, UX, QA, and DevOps teams to validate feasibility, estimates, and timelines.
- Clearly document scope boundaries, assumptions, exclusions, and dependencies to ensure shared understanding across teams.
Proposal, SOW & Contract Ownership:
- Lead the end-to-end development of proposals and Statements of Work (SOWs) from initial structuring through client finalization.
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, Delivery, Operations, and Admin teams to gather inputs on commercials, SLAs, timelines, and contractual considerations.
- Ensure proposals and SOWs are clear, consistent, delivery-aligned, and commercially sound.
- Support client discussions around scope, assumptions, commercials, and contractual clarifications in partnership with Sales.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Deal Enablement:
- Act as a key connector between Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Delivery teams during the pre-sales lifecycle.
- Balance speed, scope, margin, and delivery considerations through structured analysis and collaboration.
- Enable a smooth transition from pre-sales to delivery by ensuring clarity on scope, assumptions, and expectations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2–3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with strong pre-sales and client-facing exposure.
- Proven experience leading proposals, SOWs, and client-facing documentation.
- Experience working on technology-driven solutions such as SaaS, Web, Mobile, Cloud, Data, or AI platforms.
- Strong presentation, communication, and storytelling skills with senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, documentation, and problem-structuring abilities.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Domain exposure to EdTech, Enterprise SaaS, BFSI, Healthcare, or Digital Platforms.
- Knowledge of APIs, integrations, system architecture, and data flows.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Lucidchart/Visio, Figma, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage multiple deals in parallel with strong attention to detail and ownership.
